01. Summary

Mission

The mission of the Logicake platform is to simplify management for small businesses, freelancers and teams by centralizing key management functions in one place. The platform enables intuitive management of contacts, projects, calendar, tasks, marketing and website content. Logicake strives for simplicity and accessibility, eliminating unnecessary complexity while offering the full range of tools necessary for day-to-day business management.

Logicake’s goal is to help users organize their work efficiently, save time and achieve better operational efficiency at an affordable price. The platform is distinguished by its educational approach and the availability of a free version, making it a suitable solution for beginners and small organizations.

My participation

As Product Designer, I built Logicake from the ground up – guiding the web application through all stages of the UX design process and preparing it for launch. I then designed and built a highly effective website using Logicake’s platform tools to educate visitors about Logicake’s offerings and convert them into users and customers. Over the next two years, I worked on multiple iterations of the existing offering, and helped launch several new applications.

02. Defining the brand

We started with a strategy, defining the brand and its target audience. Since this was a new company, we focused on defining the brand attributes and creating a clear brand statement. Fortunately, the team had already had conversations with its target audience and had valuable insights, so our job was merely to consolidate them to develop a user persona. Both of these documents formed the foundation for our decisions in the later stages of the project.

Logo design

When designing the logo for Logicake, I focused on creating a modern and minimalist visual identity, reflecting the innovative nature of the CRM platform. The designed logo was meant to convey the spirit of technology and professionalism, using colors associated with modernity. Typography was chosen to be clear and consistent with the overall brand image. The overall design refers to a slice of a circle, which can also be associated with a piece of cake.

03. Platform design

After that, I proceeded to create a flow diagram that showed how the platform would be organized. Logicake is a modular platform, so more elements were added over time. The client already had some features in mind, so I made sure I discussed them with him and included them in the plan.

Wireframing

Once we had the structure ready, we moved on to skeletons in which we studied how each screen would be laid out. This allowed us to quickly sketch out different user flows without having to spend too much time thinking about the visual design of these screens.

Wireframes allowed us to quickly test different concepts before going into full graphic design. We eliminated the risk of visual “over-design” at an early stage by focusing on the logic of the operation. Working on wireframes was cost-effective, allowing issues to be identified before coding began.

Thanks to this stage, the design process of the Logicake platform was more structured, and the final product was better tailored to users’ needs, significantly increasing the development efficiency of the entire project.

UI Design

Once the wireframes were completed, it was time to turn them into full-fledged UI designs to be handed over to developers for implementation. This stage involved defining a visual identity for the Logicake platform that followed the brand guidelines while incorporating interface design best practices.

The brand guidelines were already partially developed when I joined the team, but they were significantly developed during the project. In this process, the inspiration came from cake and pie themes, which corresponded perfectly with the platform’s name.

Visual elements such as layers of cake, delicate textures reminiscent of cream, and motifs related to cake decoration were introduced as key aesthetic elements.

During the design process, we opted for solid colors and rounded shapes that resembled the softness and harmony of the cake layers. This gave the interface a unique, friendly and consistent character that reflects the idea of the platform as a “sweet” solution that is pleasant to use, yet professional.

This visual concept helped distinguish the Logicake platform from other management tools, emphasizing its individuality and lightness, while strengthening the link to the name and brand identity.

UI mobile design

Designing the mobile interface for Logicake focused on providing an intuitive and responsive user experience tailored to users on mobile devices. A key goal was to optimize access to key functions, such as contact, project and schedule management, while remaining consistent with the brand identity.

04. Website

After completing the MVP of the Logicake platform, I focused on creating a marketing site to showcase Logicake’s offerings and convert visitors into active users. This process included planning the site’s structure, designing the homepage and landing pages for key tools and use cases, and planning and designing the blog section.

As with the app, the visual design of the website was based on brand guidelines that we developed during the work. The original guidelines included a lot of graphic elements, such as overexposures of plants and animals, but over time we replaced them with themes inspired by scrapbook and scrapbook aesthetics. For Logicake, the key direction was to integrate visual references to the cakes, such as layers, decorations and soft gradients, which perfectly reflected the nature of the platform.

When the project was completed, my task was also to implement it in Logicake, which remained my responsibility for the next two years. As Logicake grew – introducing new products and improving existing features – the website had to evolve and expand its capabilities to effectively support the marketing and development of the platform.

This provided Logicake with a dynamic and attractive promotional tool that supported the growth of its user base and the building of a consistent brand identity.

05. Social media

I was in charge of running Logicake’s profile on Instagram, ensuring visual consistency and engaging content. I created graphics, posts and stories that showcased the platform’s features and benefits. I regularly analyzed statistics to adjust strategy and increase reach. It was also important to build a community around the brand by interacting with observers and answering their questions. Through consistent efforts, I was able to increase Logicake’s visibility and attract new users.
